Vancouver I was shocked but was not surprised because I had already known how expensive it would be. Not even living in a giant house but just a average size with only two people I did not expect it to be so expensive that I would be 7000 dollars over budget meaning I would have to probably get another job. I decided to look into why West Vancouver was so expensive and the top two factors I saw were because of Canada having a lot of foreign buyers prices are high and also because of it's location being close to water/views. A lot of people I know move out of the lower mainland especially vancouver areas and move to a different part of B.C due to too high of costs. I chose Kelowna because a lot of people have moved there and now I know why. If I were to live in Kelowna, I would just be under my budget ( $200) compared to west Vancouver which I was $8000 over budget. Though I was just under budget it still was not much money left. Living in a average size house will be expensive no matter where you live.
