I also noticed my diet could mess with my dreams. When I ate a lot of junk food, especially right before bed, my dreams got weirder. Like one night, I chowed down on a bunch of pizza and ice cream before hitting the hay. That night, I dreamt I was drowning in a pool of melted cheese. Gross, right? Then, I thought about my sleeping environment. I made sure my bedroom was cool and dark. I even got a new pillow. And you know what? My suffocating dreams started to become less frequent. It seems like a comfy sleep setup can really make a difference.
