Foreign nationals who wish to stay in Turkey beyond the duration of their visa can apply for a visa extension at the local Directorate General of Migration Management office. The Extend Turkey Visa may take up to 90 days and the application must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the expiration of the original visa. Required documents include a valid passport, proof of sufficient funds, and a statement explaining the reason for the extension request. The extension fee also has to pay at the time of application.
