This is a guide to the Clinical Reasoning Course, providing an overview of the course structure for working on cases online and in small groups and introduces the NEW version of ThinkShare® that faculty and students will be using. Year 1 - Fall - 1st Half Semester

Foundations cases involve 2 small group sessions

BEFORE Session 1 - Students submit ideas on how to Frame the Problem and a few Hypotheses with Rationales

DURING Session 1

Students discuss the case, identify issues for further inquiry

Facilitators release additional case information (available on ArizonaMed)

BEFORE Session 2: Students research learning issues identified.

  • Resolve the online case in the 1st hour
  • Work through a NEW case in the 2nd hour from start to finish
