  • May have fever or tiredness
  • Flu-like
  • After these symptoms appear you get tested for HIV
  • Rash on skin

HOW COMMON IS IT?

  • Sadly its very common
  • More than 1,000,000 americans have HIV
  • Some People have a genetic mutation that makes them
  • Highly resistant to HIV

HOW DOES A PERSON GET THIS VIRUS

  • HIV does not have a specific human host
  • It is infectious, from body fluids, breast milk and saliva
  • HIV, very little evidence about the evironmental factors

WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR BODY DURING VIRUS

  • HIV attacks your immune system
  • Weakens your ability to defned yourself from diesease
  • And infection

TREATABLE?

  • People have to take 3 or more drugs
  • There is no vaccine for HIV
  • Many HIV drugs
  • They all attack the disease in different ways
