“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:16-18
We should not expect to be spared from tribulation or suffering in this momentary life but there is a much greater and eternal suffering that we will not have to endure.
You are still so used to the partial care and survival you knew before coming to Christ that you have not pursued a better way of life and thriving living in light of the gospel.

God is working out and crafting a better future for us than we could workout or craft for ourselves in the time it takes any craftsman to make something truly beautiful.
