PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Monet light experiment
Changing the lighting of a picture can change the mood, feeling, and the interpretation of an image
For Example.....
- Using just lighting, you can change the mood of a painting from a warm summer day, to a cold winter night.
- Claude Monet noticed this by using a very simple object (haystack) and changing not only the mood, but also the whole interpretation!
For my Monet experiment, I chose to take a picture of a reindeer scape four times a day, (dusk, dawn, night, and day) in the same angle.
Dawn (7:30 AM)
My mood when I look at this image is Sleepy
Day (1:00 PM)
My mood when I look at this image is Cheerful
Dusk (5:30 PM)
My mood when I look at this image is Relaxed
Night (9:00 PM)
My mood when I look at this image is Calm
CONCLUSION
- My preferred image is at Dusk (5:30 PM) because it has very original colors. It also makes me feel Relaxed and Calm.
- Although Night and Dawn look the same, the lighting is darker at Night.
