“This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.”
Luke 21:13-15

II.Who is really following God?

Acts 7:1-43

Untitled Slide

God is working in places and in people we have no idea about.

God reveals Himself as a God who calls people according to His divine purposes.

God's promises are conditional to His faithfulness.

Untitled Slide

God can bring His presence and influence any nation, city, company, or household.

God here reveals Himself for the first time as a rescuer.

God’s promises and plans are as big and vast as God is.

God can be found
in places like a burning bush.

God reveals Himself as someone who brings redemption, salvation, and reconciliation.

Jesus is the greatest ruler and deliverer.

III.The "Signposts" of God:

Acts 7:44-50

God will not and can not be contained by human hands or human understanding.

Final Thoughts:

Acts 7:54-60

The fruit of Stephens ministry doesn't come immediately...
but the fruitfulness does come in a huge way.

Jesus getting up from His throne is like someone rising up in order to greet a friend…

The Law and the Temple were not the “capstones” of God’s plan for redemption but rather “signposts” that would point to two things:

Our desperate need for a savior and rescuer because of our inability to keep God’s holy Law.

How only Jesus is sufficient to fulfill the Law and bring about God’s perfect presence among us.
