*Almost no technology except hand made things
*houses have no heat electricity or air conditioning

Painted houses
Zimbabwean houses often have designeds or patterns alongside their house A well-painted home indicates the female of the household is a good wife and mother. She is responsible for the painting of the outside gates, front walls, side walls, and usually the interior of her home.

ZIMBABWE AND HOW IT AFFECTS THE HOUSING

  • The climate is Extremely hot, 90-100 F but can get as cold as below 40 degrees causes houses to be made thick for the winter but has an open doorway for the summer

WHY IS RURAL DIFFRENT

  • City houses are ether nicer or made of metal scraps and materials that are easier to find for them
  • Rural families are poorer forcing them to uses grass or mud and more natural materials
  • Rural houses have more cultural meaning

-main house has handmade beds on ground with thatch as bedding
-Lots of handmade beaded jewelry on walls
-decorated pottery of to the side

Village life
^lives with there imminent family
^villages can be only extended family or can be a large amount of other family's
^after you are married you move to the mans village
