I chose this as the book cover because it shows the main character. It also shows the setting and background he lives in.

The type of book is a fictional young adult novel. Even tho this book isn't a true story it could easily happen in a every day young boys life that lives on his own.
SETTING
THIS BOOK TAKES PLACE IN THE BRONX
This story takes place in Bronxs , New York. The setting is really important in the story because the environment he lives in contributes to why his life is unsafe and bad.
PROTAGONIST
- Tyrell is the protagonist and his dad is the antagonist
The protagonist and main character is Tyrell. He is a 16 year old boy. He's not the typical young teen Tho. He dosent go to school or live with his family. He lives with his best friend Cal.
CONFLICT
- Man vs man (Tyrell and his dad)
- Man vs man (Tyrell and his girlfriends)
- Man vs self(Tyrell and himself)
- Man vs society(Tyrell and his environment
The main conflicts are Man vs self (Tyrell vs Tyrell), Man vs Man (Tyrell vs his Dad), and Man vs enivrement (Tyrell vs his community).
CLIMAX
- The turning point is when his dad gets out jail,his life changes a lot but a tons of stress is relieved.
The main turning point in the story is when tyrells dad figures out that Tyrell stole his key to the storage room. Tyrell needed it because he was throwing his girl friends sweet 16 party. Once his dad knows he took It he hits him and starts a huge fight , their family is now divided. The second climax is when him and Novisha break up. He's sad but at the same thing happy he found out. She cheated on him at camp last summer and didn't tell him.

Tyrell is the protagonist in the story. He is only a teenager and is living on his own in the Bronxs. He doesn't go to school , he works briefly as a DJ at parties. He doesn't have a good relationship with his parents, but he loves and cares a lot about his brother. In the story right now he is in conflict with just about every character.

THEME
One main theme is don't judge someone of how they look. Tyrell met a pretty girl and was only worried about her looks. That doesn't end up well for him .
