Why did Austria-Hungary attack Serbia?

• A Serbian murdered Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria.
• Austria gave Serbia a list of things they wanted from them which Serbia did not give to them.

Why did Germany attack all of Europe?

• Lots of tension between Germany and Europe.
• Assassination of Archduke Franz. Ferdinand of Austria started the war.
• Wanted to help Austria because they're friends with Austria so they declared war on France.
• Had to go through Belgium on the way to France.

Why did Germany attack all of Europe?

• Briton declares war on Germany.
• They wanted more land.
• Wanted to see there military strength.
• They are paranoid France wants to take back the land they got from the France-Prussia war.

Why didn’t the USA join the war in the beginning?

• USA said they would be neutral because they are friends with both sides
• Germany was not following the rules of battle so they joined to fix it.

Why did they not just be done on christmas?

• The Schlieffen Plan didn't work.
• Germany kept fighting

• Treaty in Paris, France.
