PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HINDUISM (4,000-10,000 B.C)

  • They believe in multiple Gods.
  • They believe in reincarnation.
  • If you're a good person you'll have good carma.
  • If you do what you're supposed to you'll move up in the social scale in your future lifes.
  • They believe in enlightenment.

JUDIASM (1,800 B.C)

  • They believe in one God (monothiestic)
  • They believe in creation of all things but God created it all.
  • They believe that God is in another place outside of space and time.
  • Moses was a prophet who wrote the 10 commandments.
  • Moses also wrote the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible.

Buddhism (483bce)
They believe that if you want to reach enlightenment you can't be attached to materialistic things.

THE IDEAL THING YOU WANT TO REACH I ENLIGHTENMENT.

CHRISTIANITY (325-CURRENT TIMES)

  • The goal is to get into heaven when you die.
  • To actually make it into you have to live for God or you must repent and change your ways.
  • The Bible is the holy book of this religion.
  • The Bible teaches you things through stories of the people's life.
  • They have free will to live for God and love him or not.

  • When you're a good person you move up in the social scale

CHRISTIANITY PART 2

  • The person who basically founded christianity is Jesus.
  • Jesus tought people about God at the age of 30.
  • You're supposed to love everyone.
  • Baptism is a religious ceremony that people of all ages can do.
  • Christmas is Jesus's birthday and Easter is the day he came back from the dead.

ISLAM (570 A.D)

  • Muhammed was a prophet who tough Allah's word to peolpe.
  • They only believe in Allah.
  • They pray 5 times a day.
  • The 5 pillars are their beliefs.
  • They have to at least make one trip to the Mecca in their life.
