PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions. It was founded over 3500 years ago in the Middle East.
BELIEFS:
God: Monotheistic (believing in one God)
Jesus: Jewish culture believes Jesus did not fulfill messianic criteria.
Holy Spirit: divine force or influence of God.
Salvation: doing good works on earth helps you gain salvation.
Death: They believe in an afterlife; a world to come.
FOUNDER:
Christianity developed out of Judaism in the 1st century from the life, teachings, death, and resurrection or Jesus Christ.
BELIEFS
God: One God, creator of all things.
Jesus: Son of God. Sent to save mankind from death and sin.
Holy Spirit: third person of the Trinity.
Salvation: Things you must do on earth to obtain heavenly salvation.
Death: afterlife, if you believe and have faith you will go to Heaven.
Islamic religion can be traced back to the 7th century. Muhammad introduced it in 610 A.D.
BELIEFS
God: One God; referred to as Allah.
Jesus: They do not think he is the Son of God, rather human. They do believe he was a prophet
Holy Spirit: They do not compare or believe they have a "Holy Spirit"
Salvation: Allah has predetermined their fate.
Death: Allah will one day destroy all and then they must face judgement.
There is no single founder of Hinduism.
The earliest form of writings for Hinduism dates back to 1500 B.C.
Beliefs:
God and Jesus: they believe in a "god conscious" you can do good and please your "god conscious"
Holy Spirit: they believe in a soul like spirit.
Salvation: "self-realization" purify ones soul with works
Death: Rebirth; death is not the end yet a new begining

Beliefs
God: They are on a journey for enlightenment, and they do not think God helps gain that.
Jesus: believe he existed but do not worship him.
Holy Spirit: not a Holy Spirit but a holy life style.
Salvation: you must work out your own salvation by following certain steps.
Death: Once dead your soul seeks a new body and life. Whose body they get is based on karma.

Beliefs
God: Recognized God as the one and only creator.
Jesus: They deny the unique status of Jesus.
Salvation: You must live an honest life and meditate on God to find salvation.
Holy Spirit: Divine Soul, doesn't help live earthly.
Death: No Heaven or Hell but your body reincarnates.
Beliefs:
Confucianisms do not believe in God, Jesus, Holy Spirit or Salvation rather a philosophical movement to better society.
Death: They believed the afterlife was beyond human comprehension. Humans should act in a way to promote ideal relations, rather than act in ways to gain punishment or reward after death.
The Shinto religion has no founder but can be traced back to the 6th century with no scared texts.
Beliefs
God: Kami or spirits, essence, or gods (energy generating phenomenon)
Jesus: No beliefs in Jesus
Holy Spirit: They believe in a Kami that is spiritually involved.
Salvation: Must practice Shin Do Buddhism.
Death: Kami is hiding in the invisible world and you must do your duties on earth then you may join your family in the afterlife.
Known Writings:
Thousands of sacred texts from the Taoism but most common are Zhuangzi and Taode Jing.
Beliefs:
God: does not have a "god" rather they have what they call Tao, meaning pathway or director.
Jesus: They except Jesus as a real person but do not consider him relevant to there religion.
Holy Spirit: invisible spirit energy with in an individual
Salvation: Their concept of salvation consists of life, not afterlife.
Death: They do not think much of death, they hoped to live forever with immortal powers and be located on earth.

Beliefs
God: Called Jehovah, he was once alone in the universe and has existed from beginning to end.
Jesus: He is not one with God. (not the Son of God)
Holy Spirit: It's not a part of God but the "force" of God.
Salvation: Must be worthy, it's a gift from God.
Death: Unless your worthy of eternal life they believe you remain in your grave inactive and dead.

God: He has not always been the supreme being of the universe but by righteous living he became supreme.
Jesus: He is the literal Son of God.
Holy Spirit: One of gods many spirit sons.
Salvation: General salvation is achievable but to dwell with God you must be "good".
Death: Your body dies but your spirit goes to the spirit world, where you will learn and progress

Unitarians use interpretations of the Bible as their source of teachings.
Beliefs:
God: some reject Him altogether; others believe he is the power of evolution
Jesus: He was not a supernatural being rather put on earth for his teachings.
Salvation: To them salvation means "yearning for", "experience of", etc.
Holy Spirit: Not a person and does not have a will or purpose.
Death: Morality manifests itself in the life's of those we effect during our lifetime and the legacy they carry on.
DIANETICS AND SCIENTOLOGY BY L. RON HUBBARD
Beliefs:
God: They believe in God but do not mention him in any texts.
Jesus: They do not worship Jesus but honored goals set for man by Christ, which are wisdom, good health, and immorality.
Holy Spirit: Instead of a Holy Spirit they believe in a Holy Body called "Thetan"
Salvation: Achieved by realizing ones true nature as an immortal spirit.
Death: Reincarnation
Beliefs:
Satanist do not have any beliefs in a God, Jesus, Holy Spirit or Salvation they consider that irrelevant . Satanist are generally concerned with worshiping themselves or are independent and do not follow teachings or traditions.
Death: no afterlife; you "disappear" or forever lay in the ground.
