  • What inspired you to become a mechanical engineer? The one thing that inspired him most was the financial security that Engineering offered, the other was that he likes to figureout how things work and find the best course of action for a problem.
  • How long did you go to school? He went to school for 4 years to be a mechanical engineer. There are many types of engineering and some take a little longer to achieve. You can also get a degree with one kind of engineering and later move to another with additional schooling, if it is a field that your company works in they sometimes pay for part or all of your education.
  • How has your job benefited you? Engineering has benefited me most definitely by providing a descent living. I didn't have to struggle in life as much as classmates that didn't pursue a professional position. My job has provided for my family and retirement. It also has given me job opportunities and job security.
  • What do you enjoy about your job? I've enjoyed the challenges of the job while working on large tractor engines, jet engines, and the space shuttle engine. At present I'm working on turbine engines. The challenges of today's engines is to make them more environmentally friendly and still working efficiently
  • How long have you been in engineering? I have been an engineer for 39 years
  • What do you do for your job? As an engineer you design, analyze the product and its function, using math skills, models and computer programs to make the best and safest product.
  • Is the job fulfilling? I find the job fulfilling. I'm the kind of person who sees a problem and likes to find a solution, so if you are an innovative person who likes to solve problems its a great field.
