PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WORK VS. GPA

BY: KAYLA ROUMPF & SYLISSA JENNINGS

There are many students in the world whom are currently employed as well as being full time students.

Students who work a high amount of hours per week generally have a lower GPA while in school.

Our prediction is that students who work a hearty work load have a lower GPA.

There are 8/7 students in our high school who work 20-30+ Horus a week. 5/8 have a 3.0-4.0 GPA and 2/3 have a 2.0-3.0 GPA.

Therefore our predictions are slightly inaccurate. Most of the students in CHS have a 2.0-4.0 GPA while working 20-30+ hours a week.

PROCESS IN GATHERING

  • We created a survey for our students to complete.
  • We then sent the survey to the entire student body.
  • After that we went through and found the information we needed.

Therefore there are many reasons why a student could have a low GPA. Work is just one of the many reasons.
