Flapper- a young women who embraced the new fashions and urban attitudes of the day.

- Zelda Fitzgerald
- Fitzgerald wrote, painted, danced, travled, and more
- She inspired young women to break from tradition

- Lois Long- known as "Miss Jazz Age"
- Colleen Moore- known as the "Flapper Queen" of Hollywood
- Clara Bow- known as the "It Girl" of the 1920's
- Coco Chanel- famous for her timeless designs, trademark suits, and little black dresses
What they did
- Worked for New York Magazine in the early 20'
- Actress- portrayed flapper's of the 1920's. In person she is quiet ans subdued
- Sing-most famous of the flapper's, only played one on the movie screen

- Dresses were lighter and shorter
- Evening dresses were often trimed with fur

- Dresses were just below the knee

Law passed
- In the 1920's the Nineteenth Amedment was passed to give women the right to vote

- Men and women started to view marriage more as a partnership
- Women still did most of the house work and took care of the childrens
