Winter STEM Challenge

Your Challenge is to build the tallest Free-standing Snowman in 30 minutes

Snowman stretch materials

• bag of cotton balls and/or 3 pieces of tissue paper and/or 5 pieces of copy paper
• 5-10 straws
• 24 inches of tape

criteria (requirements)

• snowman must be as tall as possible
• snowman must be free-standing

Constraints (limitations)

• use only the materials provided
• building time is 30 minutes (so plan ahead and design carefully)
• snowman can be no more than 3 tiers or layers (a hat is optional and does not count as a layer/tier)

once we begin, 30 minutes is all you get to get it right
