HOW TO INSTALL WINDOWS XP

CHECK COMPADABILITY

• 300 MHz cpu
• 128 MB of ram
• 1.5 GB hard drive
• Cd or DVD rom
• Sound/network card

CONFIGURE YOUR BIOS

• Set DVD drive as 1st boot device
• Or set a USB drive containing Xp as 1st boot device
• Save and exit the BIOS

START INTALATION

• Put Xp disk In the disk drive
• Press enter and begin installation
• Carefully read and agree to the license agreement

PARTITION DRIVE

• Select partition you want to install to
• If there is not one create a new one
• Select unpartitioned space and press c to create a new one

FORMAT YOUR PARTITION

• Select and format the partition you just made
• Wait for the format to finish

SETUP FILES

• Wait for files to download
• Wait for reboot

INSTALL

• Let Xp install
• This will occur automatically

LAUNGUAGE

• Select language
• Select region

PRODUCT KEY

• Input your desired nane
• Input the product key from your cd case

NETWORK

• Input a time zone
• Input a network (optional)
• Select a workgroup (optional)

FINALIZE

• Let Xp install finalize
• If you have Internet activate windows

DRIVERS

• Install driver for your harware
• From Internet or disk

BIOS

• Reboot and enter the BIOS
• Change your hard drive to first boot device

• Install service pack 1,2,and,3
