WHAT IS WILLIAMS SYNDROME?

A GENETIC DISORDER THAT AFFECTS BODY PARTS AND DEVELOPMENT

HOW IS IT PASSED DOWN?

  • Not inherited
  • Occur as random events during formation of reproductive cells
  • It can happen even if you have no history of it in your family

WHO DOES IT AFFECT?

  • It can happen to anyone and it affects them from birth to end of their life

SYMPTOMS!~

  • Delayed speech and developmental delay.
  • Personality traits (trust strangers, friendly, scared of touching, etc.)
  • Easily distracted and learning disorders
  • Feeding problems (colic, vomiting, etc.) and unusual appearance of face
  • Inward bend of pinkie and they are shorter then rest of family

TREATMENT...

  • There is no actual treatment.
  • But to make life easier you could do;
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
