WHAT IS WILLIAMS SYNDROME?
A GENETIC DISORDER THAT AFFECTS BODY PARTS AND DEVELOPMENT
HOW IS IT PASSED DOWN?
- Not inherited
- Occur as random events during formation of reproductive cells
- It can happen even if you have no history of it in your family
WHO DOES IT AFFECT?
- It can happen to anyone and it affects them from birth to end of their life
SYMPTOMS!~
- Delayed speech and developmental delay.
- Personality traits (trust strangers, friendly, scared of touching, etc.)
- Easily distracted and learning disorders
- Feeding problems (colic, vomiting, etc.) and unusual appearance of face
- Inward bend of pinkie and they are shorter then rest of family
TREATMENT...
- There is no actual treatment.
- But to make life easier you could do;
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Therapy
