CURRENT STATUS

  • They're isn't a cure
  • And they're not looking for one because there are 25 genes missing

HOW THE BODY IS EFFECTED

  • It effects growth
  • Effects heart
  • Effects blood vessel

HOW YOU GET WILLIAM SYNDROME

  • Williams syndrome is caused by the spontaneous deletion of 26-28 genes on chromosome #7.
  • The parents have nothing to do with it

TREATMENT

  • There is no cure for William syndrome
  • Avoid taking extra calcium and vitamin D
  • Physical therapy is helpful in case of joint stiffness

SIGNS OF THE SYNDROME

  • Easily distracted
  • Delayed speech
  • They have bad ADD
  • They are bad at puzzles and drawing
  • They are good at memorization

DIAGNOSIS

  • Puffiness around the eyes
  • Missing teeth
  • Upturned nose
