What must I do with the gospel ?

gospel - glad tidings

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the GOSPEL which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

gospel - good news of the death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus our Lord

What must I do with the gospel ?

MUST - to be under the necessity to; need to:
Animals must eat to live.

What MUST I do with the gospel to be right with God ?

1) RECEIVE & BELIEVE THE GOSPEL

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you RECEIVED and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you BELIEVED in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

Ro 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not BELIEVED? And how shall they BELIEVE in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the GOSPEL of peace, Who bring GLAD TIDINGS of good things!"

Ac 2:41 Then those who gladly RECEIVED his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

2) OBEY THE GOSPEL

1Pe 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not OBEY THE GOSPEL of God?

2Th 1:7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not OBEY THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ro 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the GOSPEL of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
16 But they have not all OBEYED THE GOSPEL. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"

How do I obey the gospel of God ?

Ro 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that FORM OF DOCTRINE of doctrine to which you were DELIVERED.

Ro 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Ro 6:5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

3) PREACH AND TEACH THE GOSPEL

Ro 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the GOSPEL of peace, Who bring GLAD TIDINGS of good things!"

Ro 1:14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.
15 So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the GOSPEL to you who are in Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Mr 16:15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

4) LIVE THE GOSPEL

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

WHAT MUST I DO WITH THE GOSPEL

• BELIEVE & RECEIVE THE GOSPEL
• OBEY THE GOSPEL
• PREACH & TEACH THE GOSPEL
• LIVE THE GOSPEL

BECOME A CHRISTIAN

Hear Him (Romans 10:17)
Believe Him (Mark 16:16)
Repent Of Sins Against Him (Acts 2:38)
Confess Him (Acts 8:37)
Be Baptized Into Him (Romans 6:3)

After baptism, Live For Him (Galatians 2:20)

COME HOME AS AN ERRING CHILD OF GOD

Come Back To Him (Lk. 15:17-20)
Repent (Acts 8:22)
Pray (James 5:16)

After restoration, Live For Him (GALATIANS 2:20)

BECOME A CHRISTIAN
