What is Reiki ?

Reiki ( pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese kanji word for universal life force energy.

Reiki is a Japanese holistic, light touch, energy based modality.

Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) through the system, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body's innate healing ability.

Reiki is an excellent complementary therapy, which does not interfere with other medical treatments.
It treats the whole person including: mind, body, emotions and spirit.

Reiki was founded in Japan
by Mikao Usui Sensei
(August 15, 1865 - March 9, 1926)

What to expect during a session?

  • The client fully clothed, lies down on the treatment table.
  • The practitioner's hands remain in a stationary position, gently on or slightly above the body through several positions from head to toe.

What to expect during a session?

  • Many individuals report feeling cold, heat, or tingling sensations during the session and most enter a calm, relaxed state.
  • In some, pain can diminish or completely vanish. It's different for each person.

What is required before & during a session?

  • Be dressed comfortably.
  • Drink some water.
  • Be open to receive the energy.
  • Be willing to let go of the pain or the issue.
  • And believe you can heal.
