What is Oak Grove?

Oak Grove Mission Statement

• The mission of Oak Grove Lutheran School is to express God’s love by nurturing students for academic achievement, lifelong Christian commitment and loving service throughout the world.

Oak Grove North Campus

• At the north campus for middle school and high school both, all the teachers want their students to do their best and succeed in school.

Why choose Oak Grove

• Oak Grove is recognized for their strength and quality of their academic program. The students benefit from the small classroom sizes and the longer time periods of each class since we do have block schedule.

What is block schedule?

• Block schedule is a schedule where instead of having 8 classes a day for 50 minutes you are allowed to have 4 classes a day for 90 minutes allowing you each class period to get a lot more done than in a normal 8 class period schedule

Day in Life

• School starts at 8:30 and ends at 3:30 every single day.

Classes

• As a freshman I take 5 core classes which are English, Physical Science, Spanish, Band and Geometry. I also have 3 core elective classes that change each semester.

What Sports does Oak Grove Provide?

• Oak grove provides plenty of opportunities to participate in activities, clubs and fund raising.
• They have co-op sports that cooperate with Shanley High School and Fargo public schools.

Girls Sports

• Girls swimming co-ops with Shanley and Park Christian , and so do most of the other co-op sports

Boys Sports

• Boys co-op sports cooperate with Shanley High School and Fargo Public Schools.

Mission Trips

• This year in band from April 4-9th we are going to Seattle. During this time we will be sightseeing and playing our instruments all while having fun .

Fund-raising

• There are many service opportunities in Oak grove such as signing up to help out with concessions or working at the annual oak grove rummage sale.

• The rummage sale is a place where students of Oak Grove can sign up and help around and earn money for mission trips and other things around the school.
