WHAT IF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE EVER HAPPENED?

BREIF HISTORY

• U.S.A bought 530,000,00 acres from France.
• For $15 million
• President Thomas Jefferson wrote this prediction in an April 1802 letter to Pierre Samuel du Pont amid reports that Spain would retrocede to France the vast territory of Louisiana.

WHAT IF

• There would be only 15 states.
• The French would be boarding us. They would probably taking over by Spain and become Mexico.

WHAT IF

• The civil war, world war one and two, segergation, trade and much more would be different.

CIVIL WAR

• The civil war would be different.
• It would be because it would be much smaller.
• All the states are right there and close to each other so it would be easy to enforce rules.
• The French were neutral in the real civil war but they helped the south more. They wouldn't do that if they boarded us. They would just let us fight it out.

WORLD WAR I

• We would of got involved right away.
• That is because us and the french would not get a long.
• US and French would not get a long and help each other.
• There would be no 14 points to help Germany and France.
• The US army would not be as strong or big because they don't have the people or the ideas or the materials from that territory.

WORLD WAR II

• There would be 3 options. One is that we like what Germany is doing and join them. We would more then likely get takin over.
• Second option is that we join with the French and be against what Germany is doing.
• Third option is that we stay independent and don't join a side and maybe get invaded or fight them.
• I believe we will join France even tho theres a little tension between us.

SEGREGATION

• Saying we get through WWII and we are still in one piece.
• I feel like segregation would not be a big thing.
• It is less people and the people will listen to the rules a lot more.
• There would be some but not much.

TRADE

• The trade would be a lot faster and easier for the 1st year or 2
• That would be because we would trade with the French. They would be right there.
• After a year or 2 they would hate the US because of what we do.

WE LACK FROM IT

• Other then the land be lack the people and inventions.
• If we didn't buy the land we wouldn't have the Atomic Bombs and the practice area.
• The army would not be a threat to other countries because we are smaller and have less materials.
