PRESENTATION OUTLINE
In simple terms, a “Verb” expresses an action or state of being.
While that is a simple explanation, there are other uses as well.
Action verbs express a “Physical or mental action”.
Action verbs are also referred to as
“Dynamic verbs”.
An action verb helps explain what someone or something is doing.
Can you see
something moving?
Can you
sense an activity?
If you can see someone or something moving,
it is an action.
Why is this important? In English there are many rules and exceptions.
There is a big difference between different verb types and their use.
Action verbs should be simple to learn for most students.
