There is lots of water in a wetlands. They are swampy, with low level water pools.

Is is easy for humans to explore wetlands?
Yes.In Australia, wetlands are quite easy to explore as they are often along the sides of roads along the coast. In Kakadu National Park,Northern Territory, access to the wetlands is via four wheel drive and boat.

Yes, maybe there can be animals living in the wetlands that we don't know about. Different species of frogs, fish, or small mammal may have gone un noticed due to the vast area wetlands can coverl.

Two interesting facts about a wetland ecosystem are:large and small wetlands are borders between land and permanent water. They become refuge areas in droughts and often support rare and threatened plants and animals found no where else.

The term wetlands encompasses a vast range of water based areas including swamps, billabongs, marshes, lakes mudflats, coral reefs, mangroves and peat lands.
