Wetland vertebrates have adaptations for wetlands~ many wetland vertebrates lay eggs in water, and also have gills so they can " breath" oxygen from the water
Rodents~mammals that are categorized by gnawing or nibbling with its teeth
Nutria~also known as the river rat, is a large, herbivore that lives mostly in wetlands
Muskrat~medium sized rodent that lives mostly in wetlands in North America
Beaver~nocturnal, large, rodent that is known for building dams and sawing trees with its teeth
Water shrew~ this species is the largest of the British shrews and has a long snout and small ears
Fish~cold blooded, aquatic vertebrae, having gills, and fins
Golden perch~golden perch are regular natives of freshwater rivers
Smallmouth bass~ native to the upper and middle Mississippi River, this fish is also a omnivore and eat anything
Sturgeon~ largest freshwater fish in North America can be up to 1,799 lbs. and 20 feet wow!
