BELLRINGER:

My Expectations for this course

I expect that each day every one of us will treat each other with respect. We will hold ourselves and each other accountable to being committed to working hard, being honest, and challenging ourselves.

Communication is HUGE. My goal is not to stand at the front of the room and talk at you. Instead, we will spend a lot of time writing about and discussing our ideas and questions about the various content covered in this classroom.

Be ready to take some risks! This is a learning process, not a one-time event.

ON A DAILY BASIS...

Your notebook will be used for bellringers. We will start each class with a 5-10 minute bellringer related to topics we have covered or will be covering that day. At the end of each unit, I will collect your notebooks and these will be recorded as a portion of your homework/participation grade.

I will give you a heads up about books/texts to bring to class.

Please bring your vocabulary to class every day. On Wednesdays I will check to make sure you have completed the practices and answer questions. On Fridays we will have a vocabulary quiz.

I like to smile and laugh, so please leave bad attitudes at the door.
