RULES AND PROCEDURES

  • Be respectful
  • Be prepared
  • Be nice!

What does it mean to be respectful?

RESPECT AUTHORITY

  • Do what you are asked to do the first time you are asked to do it by any faculty member
  • No talking or walking while I am talking

RESPECT YOUR PEERS

  • Raise your hand to speak
  • Be open-minded
  • Be optimistic
  • Treat others the way you would like to be treated

RESPECT YOURSELF

  • Dress according to the dress code
  • Refrain from using profanity (including name-calling and "shut up")

RESPECT PROPERTY

  • Don't pick up, move, write on, etc anything that does not belong to you
  • This includes but is not limited to desks, walls, notebooks, tables, etc

BE PREPARED

  • Be in your seat when the bell rings
  • 1 minute after the bell rings you should be silently working on your bell work
  • You should bring a pen or pencil and any homework or classwork we have been working on

BE NICE!

IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

PROCEDURES

WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING AND WHEN YOU SHOULD BE DOING IT

ENTERING THE CLASSROOM

  • Come in the room
  • Go to the crate to get your notebook
  • Sharpen any pencils
  • Sit in your assigned seat and begin your bell work
  • No loitering by the door!

ENTERING THE CLASSROOM

  • If you need to go to the restroom, DO NOT come in and ask me if you have time
  • You are responsible for managing your time between classes.

DURING CLASS

  • Raise your hand to speak or ask permission to get up
  • No talking or walking while I'm talking

  • Do not pack up before the bell rings
  • When the bell rings, everyone must be in their seat and wait for my dismissal
