PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The new art was named "PICTORICO" was of roman essence and was represented by artists like: Julio Rueda, Gerardo Murillo etc.

JOSE GUADALUPE POSADA
Born in Aguascalientes (1852-1913). He is considered the founder of modern Mexican art. His illustration were filled with political satire and his political injustices of the porfiriato provoke the Mexican revolution.
The Mexican mural painting appeared at a particular historical moment, when a group of artist with revolutionary vision of art began to paint under auspices of government.
SURREALISM
Began in 1939 with the arrival of Andre Breton.
