Showbie for Administrators

• As an administrator, I could see myself utilizing this tool in a number of ways. Teachers could join classes/groups to work on professional development, committee work, communication regarding observations, and to collaborate with one another.

SHOWBIE FOR ADMINISTRATORS

• This would be much better than having important information getting mixed up among lots of other emails in an inbox.

SHOWBIE For teachers

• I currently use Showbie with my students in a number of different ways through our 1:1 iPad initiative. I utilize this web app to share information, collect digital assignments, and provide feedback in a paperless format.
• Students join classes using a very simple "class code", and they then have a direct connection with their teachers.
• Showbie serves as a means of creating online work portfolios for students.

• Showbie is a quick and easy way to submit, share, and save materials.
• Showbie serves as a means of creating online work portfolios for students.
• It is helpful to have the "Showbie Pro" version, especially if students are uploading larger files.

iCal

iCal Uses in Education

• iCal serves as a versatile means of communicating
• calendars can be created to keep up with sporting events/practices, meetings, Library reservations, field trips, assemblies, homework, appointments, etc.
• iCal stays up to date as events are added

ICAL USES IN EDUCATION

• iCal can be accessed from a number of different devices, as well as from the web, making access easy and readily available.
• iCal allows reminders to be set to assist individuals with organization
• multiple calendars can appear on one iCal, and are color coded for organization

iCal can be used as a digital planner in for students. Parents and students subscribe to the created calendar on their devices, and use iCal to keep track of assignments. The red and gray on this calendar represent the assignments for my 4th and 5th grade students.
