Weather VS Climate
Define weather: the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain etc..

Define climate:the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.

What is the difference between weather and climate?
The difference between weather and climate is a measure of time because weather is the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat,dryness,ect... And climate is weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.

Air pressure
What do scientist use to measure air pressure?
Scientist use a
barometer to measure air pressure.

What causes high pressure?
As the air mass cools,it shrinks, allows air from the surrounding to fill in above it, thrust increasing the total mass of atmosphere above the surface which then results in higher surface barometer like pressure.

What causes low pressure?
A low pressure area represents a region where there is somewhat less atmosphere over lying it.

Humidity
Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air

What is relative humidity?
The relative humidity is how much water vapor can be held by the air, in it's current condition of temperature and pressure.

What is specific humidity?
The specific humidity is weight qualities of water vapor to dry air

Air masses
What is air mass?
Air mass is a body of air with horizontally uniform, temperature, humidity and pressure.

What are five kinds of air masses?
The five air masses are
1. Continental Tropic hot,dry
2.Maritime Tropic warm,moist
3. Continental Polar cold,dry
4. Maritime Polar cool,moist
5. Continental Article bitterly,cold,dry

Fronts
What is front?
Front is a transition zone between two air masses.

What is a cold front?
A cold front is a warm-cold air boundary with the colder air replacing the warmer.

What does warm front mean?
Warm front means fronts advancing mass of warm air, in the warm sector of a low-pressure system

Sever Weather
How are hurricanes formed?
Hurricanes begin as a tropical storms over warm moist waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean near the equator. As the moisture evaporates it rises until enormous amounts of heated atmosphere. The winds begin to circle counter clockwise north equator or clockwise south of the equator.
( the peaceful center is the eye of the hurricane)

How are tornadoes formed?
1. Air rotates because of wind
2. Faster spin makes a funnel cloud
3. The funnel rotates and touches down

Name at least 4 kinds of sever weather.
1. Tornadoes
2. Hurricanes
3.blizzards
4. Supreme heat
