HEAT WAVES

  • Cause more deaths than all weather events together
  • 10 degrees or more above average, combined with humidity
  • Proaction: excessive heat watch,heat warning and heat advisory

TORNADOES

  • Tornadoes can damage property and hurt, people
  • When tornado watch is going on in your community then you should: go underground to a shelter or a safe room with no windows
  • You should check for clues of a tornado, such as;dark or greenish clouds,large hail,etc..

THUNDERSTORMS

  • Thunderstorms are considered severe if it produces at least 1 inch hail in diameter
  • Every year a tornado killers or severely injures a person
  • It's futile to pay attention to these warning

SNOWSTORMS

  • Can range from moderate snow, but, after a few hours with winds it can turn into blizzard
  • You should winterize your vehicle
  • If you are leaving for the cold weather you should set the temperature no lower than 55 degrees
