AIR PRESSURE

  • Scientist use a barometer to measure air pressure
  • Air masses being cooled causes high pressure
  • Low pressure marks an area of rising air

HUMIDITY

  • Humidity is atmospheric moisture
  • It rains when the humidity in the air becomes too much for the air to hold.

AIR MASSES

  • Air masses is a volume of air describe by temperature.
  • There are 5 different air masses. Continental polar
  • Continental arctic Continental tropic Maritime polar Maritime tropical

FRONTS

  • A front is a boundary separating two masses of air of different densities
  • A cold front is a boundary of an advancing cold air mass
  • A warm front Boundary of an advancing warm air mass

SEVERE WEATHER

  • Severe weather is a dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause damage
