Muskets were the most frequently used firearm during the war.
Along with the weapon itself the gun commonly had a bayonet attached to it.

The pistol was inaccurate and was rather weak.
The range of the pistol did not even exceed 15 ft.

The Turtle
The turtle was the first submarine used in naval combat.
It was supposed to be used to plant bombs on to British ships.
However due to hard operation of the turtle it never had a successful trip.
