• The setting of the story is in wayside school in the winter and spring
• Another setting in the story is in Jason's house during the night.

• 1. Jason is the main character who likes to get in trouble a lot .
• 2. Kathy is a popular girl who always had to get her way and told everyone that Santa clause wasn't real.
• 3. Mrs.Jewls, Jason and Kathy's teacher that's a very nice teacher.
• 4. Dr Pikell who was a psychiatrist that cured people with sick minds , like smoking.
• 5.Dameon who was a little boy who believed in Santa clause.

• The theme of the book is to try to keep children from stop being mean to others
• Another theme is they want the kids to treat others how you wanted to be treated.

CONFLICT

• The conflict of the story is that the children's teacher, mrs jewls was pregnant and had to quit teaching.
• So the school has to fined another teacher and a teacher that comes in is evil.
• The other teacher was nice then a student picked up the teachers book and she was very angry.

RESOULUTION

• The resolution is the students secretly get Mrs.Drazils blue notebook,and reads it.
• There was a letter that Jane smith wrote. It said "I didn't do my homework today HAHAHA and you can't do anything about is because I'm moving.
• By time you get this letter I will be gone so you cant ever find me and you don't know where I live.
• The kids have to fined Jane Smith and get rid of Mrs.Drazil.

SUMMARY

• The summary of the story is the kids had to switch schools for 354 days and when wayside school opened they were back.
• So they got there teachers and their teacher was mrs.Jewls. She was very nice but she had to quit because she was pregnant .
• So the students needed to find different teachers and they get teachers but they all are very mean.
• One teacher could flare his nose and take the kids voice and he could use them.
• Another teacher was very nice but a student picked up her book and Mrs.Drazil got extremely angry.

WHICH CHARACTER IM I LIKE

• The character I'm most like is Mrs.Jewels .
• Because she likes teaching and I want to teach she is very nice.
• I'm nice, we'll most of the time and she likes kids and I am a kid.
• We both like school and have blonde hair.

FAVORITE PART OF THE BOOK

• My favorite part of the book is when Mrs. Drazil out of the middle of nowhere gave the students to cookies each.
• That was my favorite part because she was really mean then the next day she is nice.
• Another favorite part was when the students had pet day and they all brought in pets.
• That's my favorite part because they say a dog is an orange and they all laugh!

A LIFE EVENT

• A life event that is similar is when Kathy told everyone that Santa clause wasn't real.
• This is similar because when I was 7 years old my brother told me that Santa clause wasn't real.
• That's when I knew Santa clause wasn't real.
• When Kathy told everyone he wasn't real a few kids believed her.
