Wavelength
The distance between corresponding points on two waves — crest to crest, trough to trough

Frequency
The number of waves that pass given points in 1 second.

A type of electromagnetic radiation.

Absorb
Take in or soak up.

Reflected
The bounce of light wave off another object.

Refract
The bending of light waves when they pass through another substance.

Convex Lens
Thicker in the middle than at the edges, makes objects look bigger.

Concave Lens
Thicker at the edges, makes objects look smaller.

Transparent
Materials that allow light to pass through, clear.

Translucent
Materials that scatter light, materials that let some light pass through.

Opaque
Materials that does not let light pass through. (Solids)

Prism
Object that refracts light in the color spectrum .
