-What is water pollution?
Water pollution refers to the contamination of water bodies such as rivers, oceans, lakes, and groundwater caused by human activities. This can be harmful to plants and organisms which live in these water bodies.

MAIN FACTORS OF WATER POLLUTION

  • Oil Pollution
  • Marine Dumping
  • Radioactive Waste
  • Industrial Waste
  • Global Warming

OIL POLLUTION

MARINE DUMPING

RADIOACTIVE WASTE

INDUSTRIAL WATSE

GLOBAL WARMING

How chemistry is involved?
Industrial and agricultural work involves the use of many different chemicals that can run-off into water and pollute it.Metals and solvents from industrial work can pollute rivers and lakes. These are poisonous to many forms of aquatic life and may slow their development, make them infertile or even result in death.

SOLUTIONS WE CAN IMPLEMENT

  • Groups devoted to prevent water pollution
  • Be very carefully with trash, put it on its place
  • Fertilize correctly
  • Be conscious of the damage that smoke make to water
  • Laws that protects water form industries and radioactive waste
