  • Good hand washing is the first line of defense against the spread of many illnesses
  • from the common cold to more serious illnesses
  • such as meningitis, bronchiolitis, influenza, hepatitis A,
  • and most types of infectious diarrhea.

Washing Hands Correctly

STEP 1

  • Wash your hands with warm water
  • Make sure the water is not too hot for the hands

  • Use soap and lather up for 20 seconds
  • (no need to use anti-bacterial soap, any soap is good)
  • Make sure you thoroughly wash the area between the fingers and under
