TOPIC 1

  • The Warsaw Pact is an alliance of communist nations in Eastern Europe. It was formed in 1955 in response to NATO, after the Cold War.
  • It includes Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Eastern Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Soviet Union
  • Based throughout the Soviet Bloc and Eastern European countries.
  • The Warsaw Pact dissolved in Prague in 1991.

TOPIC 2 :)

  • Formed by the Soviet Union to reduce the threat of invasion from Western Europe
  • The Cold War was going on that prompted the organization to start
  • The Cold War began after World War ||. US and Russia never officially declared war
  • on each other but fought indirectly.

TOPIC 3

  • The Soviet Union & seven of its European satellites sign a treaty establishing the Warsaw Pact.
  • A mutual defense organization that put the soviets in command of the armed forces of the member states.
  • Warsaw Pact: opposite of NATO, wanted to spread cummuniism. Consisted of communist countries.

TOPIC 4

  • The Warsaw Pact was known as The Treaty of Friendship,
  • Cooperation and Mutual Assistance made the 1968 Czech Revolt
  • Come to an end. The Warsaw Pact also stopped the war between Russia
  • And Germany.
