Diet/predators:
The basilisk lizard is an omnivore. Which means it eats meat and plants. The basilisk lizard eats plants,small animals/bugs and fruits. The predators of the basilisk Lizard are birds and snakes. The basilisk lizard must avoid predators to survive. Witch is a good Segway to our next topic.....

Habitat:
The basilisk lizard lives in Central America. They spend most of their time in trees. Because of their awesome ability to run on water; they aren't afraid to hang out on the trees. Witch you'll learn about on the next slide.

Animal power:
The basilisk lizard has the amazing ability to run on water. It does this by three main features. One feature is that it doesn't way a lot. So weight helps. Another feature is speed. Because it runs fast no air bubbles pop. And the last feature is it's feature feet.
The feet are delicate. This also helps the basilisk stay above water. Their very long toes on the rear of their feet has fringes. Witch unfolds in the water. Because of these awesome abilities the basilisk lizard can run 5 ft. per second.

QUICK FACTS:

• It is part of the iguana family.
• It is a good swimmer. And can stay underwater for 30 minutes.
• Weighs 7 oz.
• It is a reptile and the life span is up to 10 years.
• 2-5 ft. including the tail.

Conclusion:
The basilisk lizard may be small. But it can surely survive. And it has an amazing creature power. Even you and I can't walk on water. But they can.
