EARLY LIFE

  • 25 January 1882 - 28 March 1941
  • Born in Kensington England.
  • Free-thinking parents.
  • Farther: historian and author.
  • Mother: model, nurse, and wrote a book on the profession.
  • 3 full-siblings and 4 half-siblings.
  • Curious, playful, and light-hearted.

Education

  • Get educated in home.
  • Wrote a family newspaper.
  • She learned English, Greek, Italian, Latin, and German.
  • T.S. Eliot helped her a lot on writing novels.
  • First novel: The Voyage Out, in 1915.

Later Life

  • Her father died in 1904.
  • Her sisters sold their house and they moved to London.
  • Get sexual abused by her half-brother.
  • She had serious depression.
  • Provoking the government by acted as a prince and went to the warship.
  • Committed suicide in 1941, at the age of 59.

HISTORY

  • She was an atheist(a person who believes that there is no God).
  • One of the foremost modernists of the twentieth century.
  • During the interwar period, Woolf was a significant figure in London literary society.
