Volleyball is a popular, competitive sport that can be played both indoors and outdoors. The game is a mixture of spiking, passing, blocking and setting, requiring fast reactions and flexibility.

RULES

  • Two teams of at least six players are divided onto either side of a court.
  • Each team has a max of 3 hits to get the ball over the net.
  • When the ball falls on the court, the opposite court (team) receives a point.
  • Whoever wins 3 out of 5 games and reaches 25 points first, wins the entire match.

ORIGIN:
The game of volleyball, originally called "mintonette," was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan in America. The game was designed to be a combination of basketball, baseball, tennis and handball.
