CAUSES OF VOLCANOES

  • Volcanic activity frequently occurs at the boundaries of the Earth's
  • tectonic plates which are a series of large blocks moving between each
  • other.

  • Magma is deep underground, in chambers beneath volcanoes

  • Lava is the stuff that comes out of volcanoes.

  • Extinct- has not had an eruption in 10,000 years

EFFECTS

  • Keeps the earth cool by removing
  • Heat from the interior
  • Volcanoes are proof that the
