FICTION

  • Lit in the form of prose ,especially short stories and movies.
  • For example : The tv series Stranger Things
  • The Hunger Games is a fiction book.
  • That’s what fiction is.

NONFICTION

  • Nonfiction is based on facts , real events and real people. Like biographies and history .
  • For example a nonfiction book and movie is:Hidden Figures.

SETTING

  • Setting is a place or a surrounding where something is positioned or where the event takes place.
  • For example:The setting in the Land If Stories is that Alex loves to read in her bed and Conner loves to be the popular 7th grade kid.

PLOT

  • The plot is the main event of the movie or book or also a play.
  • For example: The plot of the Land of Stories is that Alex and Conner have to collect the ingredients for the wishing spell.

  • Foreshadowing is a warning or indication of a future event.
  • For example: a movie that has foreshadowing is The Empire Strikes Back.

  • A serious argument or disagreement .
  • For example:
  • In Charlottes Wed, Charlotte struggles against a farmer, who intends to butcher Wilbur, the pig in book.

SYMBOL

  • A mark of character used as a conventional representation of a object,function,or process.
  • For example:a symbol in a book are like a force of nature,a condition of the world or an idea.

  • The subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person’s thoughts.
  • For example: There are different types of theme. There are themes of death, survival or love.

EXPOSITION

  • A comprehensive description and explanation of an idea or theory.

  • For example: it’s the middle part of the story that is exciting. You don’t want it in the beginning or the end because then you make everything else closer together.

RESOLUTION

  • A firm decision to do or not do something.
  • For example: The resolution is at the end of the story or movie.
