THE NUMBER OF UN-INSURED FOR PHARMACY
These are the patients of your doctors I'm talking about. They don't have a lot of resources and cannot buy into quality programs with drug coverage. Or, maybe they could, but, they would have to go without paying for other stuff, like rent or food. Seriously, I see these folks everyday in our clinics over at Williamson Eye Center. They are the people that ask me for samples (many of which I don't have), coupons (which have limited supplies) or need guidance into a Patient Assistant Program (which takes time to do, if there's one available). This happens in Vision Source clinics too...everyday.

NOW WHAT DO WE DO?

PAY RETAIL
The patient is going to simply get a price from the pharmacy. Boom, here it is, take it or leave it.

BUY GENERIC
Good for some treatments, but, in several cases, the docs want the patients on a particular brand. Regardless, generics can be higher cost as well.

AND...

BUY CANADIAN
People have been buying Canadian for years. They're probably going to continue for years too. It's a given.

There are a large number of people who simply don't have the cash or resources to fill their Rx. So this does happen more often than you would think.

THE ALTERNATIVE

ADD FREE BENEFITS TO CHECKOUT Desks
We put an acrylic placeholder in your clinics at the checkout desk. For the staff, it's easy to distribute to the patients who want the Plan in their hands when they leave, etc, etc. They literally just take a card. If the card runs out, we have app solutions for that as well. This is simple to do.

EASY To manage

Something like this would go on the back of the acrylic placeholder so that clerks can do the job of restocking these.

Just putting some real time ideas in front of us here. As you see on the Member ID #, Rx Group #, yada yada...this offering can be pretty damn generic so that people don't have to feel like they're joining something. Rather, they're being offered something for free.

This is a back of a card prototype. Tells the patient what to do. Which is what we have to tell them because left up to their own...well you understand.

It's not always gonna be an 80% savings. But, we have gotten that so we're allowed to tout it. Most of the time, people paying out of pocket will save around 20%.

REVENUE GENERATION

TO Vision Source- $1.00 PER CLAIM WHEN PLAN IS USED
Vision Source can make $1.00 per claim when the utilization takes place. It's unclaimed money at this point b/c patients aren't using anything except their pocket book to pay retail.

Look, it's free cash flow to you guys. Will it be $1,000,000? I have no idea. It'll be something though. Money is money and you guys should do at least $500,000 more for really nothing! At Williamson Eye, half the people who walked into our doors took the card during a recent trial. We do about 400 visits a day. Of that 50% who took the card, 50% used it. You can see the potential math here.
