What is a virus

  • A small infectious agent
  • replicates only inside living cells of other organisms
  • EX:diseased animal or warped plant

How they reproduce

  • The virus attaches to the bacteria
  • the virus inserts its DNA into the bacteria
  • takes over the cell's machinery
  • reproduces itself inside cell
  • the host cell is destroyed
