The Vietnam war took place in Southern Vietnam, Northern Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
During the war the USA helped to stop the Communist Government from taking control of South Vietnam.
The USA really depended on air advantage during the war. That advantage can make them win the war.
Total dead (sum): 1,291,425–4,211,451
North Vietnam and South Vietnam reunified the next year after the war.

Under the provisions of the Accords, U.S. forces were completely withdrawn. Unfortunately, this did not end the war for the Vietnamese and the fighting continued until April 1975 when Saigon fell to the communists.
