1.
VENUS
The brightest of them all
2.
What's special about Venus?
Venus is the brightest planet in the solar system.
Altough Mercury is the planet closest to the sun, Venus is the hottest planet.
It's because of its thickness, it dense the cold layer.
The surface temperature on Venus is about 462 degrees Celsius.
3.
Where comes the name from?
The name comes from the Roman goddess named Aphrodite.
The meaning of the name is love and beauty.
4.
Thoughts about Venus
People thought that Venus was two stars from the beginning.
They believed that it was a morning star and an evening star.
But after some research about it, they found out that it was wrong.
5.
WHAT'S EARTHS AND VENUS SIMILARITIES?
Venus and Earth(Tellus) are often called twins.
The reason is that they are in the similar size and gravity.
They have almost the same mass volume and compactness too.

7.
IN WHICH PLACE IS VENUS FROM THE SUN?
Venus is the second planet from the sun in our solar system.
Between Earth and Mercury.
8.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR VENUS TO ORBIT AND ROTATE?
It takes 224.70(225) "earth days" for Venus to orbit around the sun.
Compared to Earth's 365 days.
It takes 243 "earth days" for Venus to rotate once on its axis.
It's very much compared to Earth's 24 hours!
9.
IMPORTANT TO HUMANS?
Venus has always been very useful to scientific research.
Around year 1700, it helped us to measure the distance to the sun.
The astronomer Edmond Halley come up with a method to measure the distance in space.
He used the astronomic unit, AU, to calculate distance from the sun, with the transit of Venus.
Now we use radar to see how far away Earth is from the sun.
