  • Resulting in a combination of hearing loss and visual impairment and is a leading cause of

WHO FOUND THIS SYNDROME?!

  • Usher syndrome is named after the Scottish ophthalmologist
  • Charles usher who examined the pathology and transmission
  • of this illness in 1914

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS

  • Deafness
  • Loss of vision
  • It affects the eyes and ears

HOW IS IT CAUSED?

  • It is usually caused by blood
  • Related marriages... And it happens
  • 1 out of 23,000 people
